With over 60 years of radio frequency experience, Cattron-Theimeg has developed into one of the leading worldwide providers of industrial radio remote control systems.
Established by Jim Cattron in 1946, Cattron Radio Communications Service was the first Motorola Service Station in the world. Cattron Incorporated was formed to handle a new line of remote control products manufactured by Motorola. By the early 1980s, Cattron Incorporated was designing and manufacturing its own line of microprocessor-based remote control products.
Theimeg Elektronikgeräte GmbH & Co. was founded in 1967 in Germany. The company developed and manufactured radio remote controls and data communication systems growing into an internationally-known and respected specialist in these products.
In the fall of 2000 Cattron Inc. joined with Theimeg Elektronikgeräte GmbH & Co. to become Cattron-Theimeg Incorporated.
The Cattron-Theimeg Alliance includes operations and offices in the United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, Brazil and South Africa with representatives and distributors throughout the industrialized world.
The Company Group expanded in 2004 with the acquisition of the Californian company Remtron, a manufacturer of radio remote control for the material handling sector. With the addition of the Canadian Beltpack and Vectran Companies the product range was broadened later that year.
Another Canadian Company joined the Cattron Group in 2005, Siamtec, a control specialist in the Mining industry who, not only, bring extensive experience but also a vast range of products for use in this sector.
